Leonard C. Quick, P.E.
President & CEO
As a Tulane University School of Engineering graduate and Registered Professional Engineer in multiple states, Mr. Quick has had a distinguished career as a consulting and forensic engineer. Since 1980, he has practiced engineering, planning, design, analysis, contract management and administration for structures, buildings, foundations, roads, bridges, drainage features and other engineered facilities and components. Furthermore, for more than 30 years, he has specialized in the field and professional practice of forensic engineering. Mr. Quick has evaluated and analyzed more than fifteen thousand property damage claims throughout his career, including catastrophe claims associated with hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes and hail.
Mr. Quick has been recognized as an expert in his field and has testified as a qualified expert witness in more than 450 cases in numerous courts across multiple states, including state, federal, municipal and county courts. He is a long-standing member of the National Academy of Forensic Engineers (NAFE), National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Louisiana Engineering Society (LES). He is also a Certified Defective Drywall Consultant (CDDC).
Jared M. Bordelon, P.E., M.B.A.
As Vice President, Mr. Bordelon performs an array of responsibilities that are pertinent to the running of Quick & Associates. He performs and manages forensic engineering investigations and consulting projects, consisting of both commercial and residential properties, throughout Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas . Upon the conclusion of inspection and documentation of information and data, Mr. Bordelon delivers a comprehensive analysis related to each individual property and defines the cause of damage accompanied by the necessary scope of repair with each corresponding analysis.
Mr. Bordelon has extensive experience in performing forensic investigations and analysis for the insurance, legal and municipal industries, wherein he determines the cause and origin of specific failures of the respective components throughout various building types. Before joining Quick & Associates, Bordelon aided in various aspects of cost approximation of multi-million dollar commercial and residential construction projects. He is a Louisiana State University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Business Administration graduate from Southeastern Louisiana University, and he is a registered member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Louisiana Engineering Society.
Kevin M. Hahn, P.E.
Manager of Engineering Services
As a Manager of Engineering Services, Mr. Hahn’s responsibilities include managing various forensic engineering analysis and investigations, forensic examination and consulting comparative to civil municipal construction projects, property destruction assessments and structural letdowns. Additionally, he oversees the examination and analysis of project design strategies, analyzing vibration monitoring data, geotechnical instrumentation data and settlement location data by junior forensic engineers in order to determine the cause of claimed property damage.
His expertise consists of supervising, organizing and directing various forensic investigations for the insurance, legal and municipal industries to define the cause and origin of particular failures and the individual scope of reconstruction and repairs for respective damages. Preceding his employment at Quick & Associates Inc., Mr. Hahn supervised the development of teaching for laboratory testing processes and certifications along with managing and directing various field technicians at a regional geotechnical engineering firm. He is a graduate of Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of New Orleans and is a registered member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Louisiana Engineering Society and American Concrete Institute. Hahn is a licensed professional engineer in multiple states including, but not limited to, Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas.
Robert M. Casey, E.I.
Division Manager of Technical Operations
As a Division Manager of Technical Operations at Quick & Associates, Mr. Casey develops, executes and manages forensic engineering and consulting services linked with various types of construction related damage, property insurance claims, construction faults, engineering design faults, structural failures, reconstruction and examination of vehicle collisions among other related duties. Mr. Casey is an expert in the reconstruction of vehicle collisions which include the examination of speed, momentum and vehicle crash data and evaluating compliance of highway construction and signage to DOTD codes. He is also a specialist in forensic investigation and examinations of structures in residential and commercial areas, specifically in building foundations and components, construction materials, contract performance disputes, building codes and industry standards.
Mr. Casey holds a Masters of Science in Engineering with a concentration in structures; a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information System. a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, and a Bachelor of Arts in English. He is a registered member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Louisiana Engineering Society (LES), the National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialists (NAPARS), the Structural Engineering Institute (SEI) and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) with certification of vehicle collision reconstruction and a Registered Engineer Intern in Louisiana. Furthermore, Mr. Casey has successfully passed the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam and is currently awaiting his Professional Engineering licensure.
John M. Newell, E.I.
Director of Technical Services
As the Director of Technical Services at Quick & Associates, Mr. Newell is responsible for performing investigations and forensic engineering analyses of claimed damage from various causes of loss, for both commercial and residential properties, as well as defining the necessary scope of reconstruction for respective property damage as required. Additionally, Mr. Newell performs damage examinations for insurance claims from natural disasters like hail storms, floods and hurricanes.
Mr. Newell specializes in research and examination of building code requirements, industrial construction standards related to construction methods and contract performance disputes. Prior to joining Quick & Associates, he served as Engineer II for Pelican Energy Consultants and as an Engineer Intern with Seal-Tite International. Earlier in his career, Mr. Newell assisted with various principal forensic engineers, carrying out pre-construction inspection and documentation, and construction and property damage analysis. He is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Louisiana State University and has received his Engineer Intern licensure, after successfully passing the Fundementals of Engineering examination. Furthermore, Mr. Newell has successfully passed the Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exam and is currently awaiting his Professional Engineering licensure. He is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Andrea ʺAndiʺ Panks
Claims Process Manager
As a Claims Process Manager, Ms. Panks responsibilities include receiving new assignments, coordinating property assessment inspections and corresponding investigative processes, material testing and case meetings. She performs and monitors quality control of claims handling procedures, remains in communication with respective clients throughout the claim processes, manages bookkeeping functions and offers clerical and administrative support to all staff members. Ms. Panks also packages and transmits final reports of findings to clients, on behalf of individual forensic engineers, maintaining contact with the respective clients to ensure excellent customer service.
Additionally, she conducts market research, maintains records of earned professional development and continuing education credits, as well as professional licenses of individual staff members. With 15 years of experience as an administrative and legal assistant, she is flexible and detail oriented with top-notch customer service skills.
