Electrical Engineer

Quick & Associates, is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer with qualifications to perform forensic investigations of failures, damages, and/or defects of electrical systems within commercial, industrial, and residential properties.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform field investigation and testing of electrical systems for potential failures, damages, and/or defects, including, but not limited to, photographic documentation, evidence gathering/procurement, component testing, and detailed interview of property representative and/or any and all known persons with knowledge of investigated loss.
  • Prepare detailed report of findings clearly explaining the scientifically proven cause and origin and extent and limits of damage requested to be determined.
  • Manage multiple assignments to ensure quality of work, turnaround time, and budgetary considerations are in accordance with the requirements of the client.
  • Provide expert witness testimony for assignments involved in and/or proceed to litigation.
  • Maintains and abides by applicable laws, regulations, and licensure requirements.

Qualifications

  • BS of Electrical Engineering
  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) License
  • Forensic Engineering Experience
  • Excellent oral and written capabilities
  • Fire/Explosion Cause and Origin Investigation experience preferred, but not required.

Electrical Engineer / Fire C&O

Quick & Associates, is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer/Fire and Explosion Cause and Origin expert with qualifications to perform forensic investigations of failures, damages, and/or defects of electrical systems along with the capabilities of determining the cause and origin of fire within commercial, industrial, and residential properties.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform field investigation and testing of electrical systems for potential failures, damages, and/or defects, including, but not limited to, photographic documentation, evidence gathering/procurement, component testing, and detailed interview of property representatives and/or any and all known persons with knowledge of investigated loss.
  • Perform field investigation and testing of properties for the determination of the cause and origin of fire and explosion related damage.

Electrical Engineer

We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide forensic consulting services requiring electrical engineering expertise for insurance, legal, industrial and other clients. Assesses and determines the cause and origin of electrical failures and damages.  Provides oral and written reports of findings and when needed, expert testimony. Responsibilities

  • Performs forensic assignments within the field of electrical engineering expertise based upon a scope of work and budget prepared by the consultant and agreed upon by the client in advance of performing the work.
  • Field Investigations: Studies and determines the cause and origin of electrical defects and/or damage.
  • Support fire origin and cause fire investigation experts to determine electrical causes.
  • Produces written forensic reports of findings detailing the cause and origin of electrical defects and/or damage.
  • Manages multiple projects. Works in conjunction with other team members to produce client reports in timely manner.
  • Uses many different equations, applications, and figures to ensure proper cause-and-origin analyses. Items that must take part in and use include electrical and equipment testing applications, drafting and design software, land surveying techniques and the metric system, to name just a few pertinent items.
  • Follows land use laws and regulations and ensures compliance with electrical code regulations and standards.
  • Assists with junior-level engineer mentoring/integration program.
  • Ability to initiate, develop and maintain mutually beneficial client relationships.

Qualifications

  • BS Electrical Engineering
  • 10+ years’ experience
  • PE license required
  • Independent judgment; strong analytical skills and excellent oral and written communication skills are requirements in this position.
